Motionless Biography
Motionless in White is a American Goth-Core band from Scranton, Pennsylvania. The band started out in 2005, with their current lead singer Chris Motionless, on the guitar, former bassist Frank Polumbo , former drummer Angelo Parente. Michael Costanza joins as the lead guitarist shortly after with TJ Bell. in 2006 they released their first E.P. (Extended Play) named "The Whorror." Their sound was highly influenced by post-hardcore and metal-corebands. Shortly after the release of "The Whorror," current keyboardist Joshua Balz joins Motionless in White. While touring in support of "The Whorror," Motionless in White had written enough songs for a full length album. They were currently signed to Masquerade Recordings during the recordings of the album. The album would be known as "When Love Met Destruction," and was to be released in 2008, but it was leaked online. After the release, Motionless In White parted ways with Michael Costanza and picked up their current lead guitarist Ryan Sitkowski, who helped them tour in support of "When Love Met Destruction." Motionless in White grew a large presence when they played on the East Coast Indie Stage at Warped Tour in 2008. During which, they were picked up by Tragic Hero Records. But after a short amount of time, Motionless in White switched to Fearless Records, who they still work with today. After joining them, Motionless In White decided to re-record six of the eleven tracks of "When Love Met Destruction," thus making it another EP. Their song "Ghost In The Mirror," was the bands first single, and music video.
After the re-release of "When Love Met Destruction," bassist Frank Polumbo leaves due to growing disinterest in the bands genre. They then pick up (current guitarist), Ricky "Horror" Olson to play bass in October of 2009. In May of 2010, Motionless in White entered the studio to record their first full album "Creature's," with Andrew Wade as their producer. The album's first single "Abigail," was released on the band's Myspace, and was a huge hit. Soon followed was a music video for "Abigail." They released three more music videos for title track "Creature's," and "Immaculate Misconception," and a live video of "Puppets (The First Snow)," which was recorded during their performances at the All Stars Tour of 2011.
On May 4th 2011, Motionless in White's lead guitarist TJ Bell leaves the band. After Bell's departure, Ricky "Horror" Olson switches from bass to guitar. Later on, Devin Sola "Ghost" joins the band as bassist.
With the new line-up, Motionless in White signs with two separate producers to create a wide arrange of sound for their next album entitled "Infamous."
Lead singer Chris Motionless, and guitarist Ricky Horror, spent most of 2012 in the studio creating "Infamous." The record Infamous takes on more than ever Motionless' effort to bring their unique style to metal by blending many elements and genre's into one record.
